These hooded shawls are our gold-standard in cool or cold weather attire, made to provide you with the great coverage but leaving your arms free, but covered. Made from re-enactor grade 14oz melton wool blends (85% wool, 15% nylon), these shawls will keep you warm on cold or windy days, and because its wool, it will shed water on rainy days, and even keep its heat-retention properties when it does get wet.
Each of our melton shawls comes with a faux-fur lined hood, for a great look and a great feel against your skin.
Melton wool is a felted type of wool in appearance, and is one of the least-scratchy wool fabrics we have found. It is wind, rain, and even fire-resistant, unlike many man-made fabrics.
One size fits many, but these shawls are great for those of lesser stature, as they don’t hang down as far as our cloaks. If you believe that you fall outside of this range, please contact us directly and we will help you get the best fit.
